With a close-knit community of just 175 residents, Floressas is a hidden gem brimming with history and character. At its heart stands a magnificent 14th-century castle, a timeless symbol of our village’s rich heritage, alongside a beautifully preserved church.

Saint-Cirq-Lapopie
Saint-Cirq-Lapopie is a picturesque village located in the Lot department of southwestern France. Perched on a cliff overlooking the Lot River, it is famous for its stunning medieval architecture, well-preserved 14th century stone houses and breath-taking views of the surrounding countryside.
Historically, Saint-Cirq-Lapopie was important during the Middle Ages as a stopping point for pilgrims on their way to Santiago de Compostela. Its rich heritage is visible in the Gothic church of Saint-Cirq, which features remarkable stained glass windows. Various local artisans also contribute to the village’s charm.
Listed as one of “Les Plus Beaux Villages de France” (The Most Beautiful Villages of France), it is a popular destination for visitors seeking a blend of history and natural beauty. Albas
Albas is located on the left bank of the Lot River, about twenty kilometres downstream from Cahors. Perched on a rocky spur, it overlooks the river and the renowned Cahors vineyard across the suspension bridge. Historically, Albas was a port, highlighting the close connection between wine and boating. Under English rule, the exceptional wines of Cahors were transported from Albas to Bordeaux by boat. Today, the rich history of Albas makes it a popular destination for wine enthusiasts.

Puy-l’Évêque
The enchanting village of Puy-l’Évêque, at the neck of a long loop of the River Lot, sits right in the heart of the Cahors wine region. Every Tuesday, visitors and locals enjoy the vibrant, friendly market. You’ll find an array of fresh vegetables, cheese, meats, strawberries from Bonaguil, and perhaps even a couple of local wine producers. There is no better way to experience the authentic French lifestyle!

Montcuq
Montcuq-en-Quercy-Blanc sits proudly on a hill in the sunny Quercy Blanc region, famed for its delicious melons, lavender, sunflowers, and grapes. This charming village became popular thanks to comedian Daniel Prévost, who showcased it in the 1976 show Le Petit Rapporteur, using puns on its amusing name to spark interest.
Visitors often arrive out of curiosity, keen to snap a picture next to the village sign, but find themselves captivated by the area’s relaxed lifestyle.
